Postcards: 3/30 - 4/7

I feel like I've been away forever! I started a new job this past Monday and it's been exhausting. I've gotten very far behind on uploading and updating. I've received 31 cards since I last updated! I also have 15 U2Us waiting for me at the Postcrossing website. This seems like a simple hobby, but it can be time-consuming! I love it anyway though. :)

I'm going to try to keep these as organized as possible. Blogger has a limit on tags, so I'll be posting this in two parts.

First up, the United States!

From a private swap with Ron in New Jersey

Elizabeth in Delaware agreed to swap with me and she sent me this card

Tara sent the Rhode Island card. The card says the "What cheer, netop?" means "how are you, friend?". It comes from the Native Americans who used to live in the area.
A 9-year-old boy sent me the North Carolina card.

Mary Ann sent the New Hampshire card. I like what she had to say on the back: "with only 13 miles of coastline it seems silly to have a flag with a ship!". I couldn't agree more!
Tricia from Connecticut found my blog through sandbook.net and decided to send the Vietnam Veterans Memorial card to help with my collection. Thank you Tricia! It's a very touching card.

D.J. from Arkansas sent me the Arkansas card in a private swap.
Mike from New York sent the strange card for the Weird/Odd/Strange Round Robin. He says it's a New Orleans Marti Gras invitation.

Postcards: 3/7 - 3/13

I finally got my computer back! I've gotten 21 cards in the last week.

USA

Funny official card from Grace in South Dakota.

Christina answered my request in a tag and sent me this Kentucky card.

Another beautiful shot of a Washington mountain.

Rather strange card from the Card you want to get rid of tag. I would much rather have "sadness" be the tiniest section!

Beautiful poem courtesy of Ryann in South Carolina.

I like this style of map card. It's very interesting to look at!

Janila, who's from Pennsylvania, got this card when she was at her retirement home in Florida. This kitty should be the spokes-"person" for Florida!

I made a mistake on an earlier post. The neat new card I had received wasn't made out of yarn. It's made out of fabric, which I still think is pretty neat, since it's entirely hand-made! I've even included the back of the "card", written as though it's a real postcard.

Turkey/Belarus

Turkey - I'm loving the sweet yin-yang heart
Belarus - Another kitty who reminds me of my kitty!

Spain/Malaysia

Spain - It appears they have a lot of interesting architecture there! This card comes from Vanessa, who noticed I didn't yet have any cards from Spain. Thanks Vanessa!
Malaysia - I think this is an ad card. Not entirely sure what the guy is doing!

Philippines/India

Philippines - I received this pretty card from my postcard pal Cecille
India - Anaita on Postcrossing requested a card for her mother's birthday. I helped out and she sent this neat card as a thank you.

Russia/Taiwan

Russia - Ksenia helped contribute to my space collection with this International Space Station card
Taiwan - Yan-Tin sent this official card. It's a holographic photo of Taipei. It's also rather see-through, which is why you can see part of her message through the image.

Germany/Slovenia

Germany - Picasso artwork from the Weird/Odd Round Robin
Slovenia - Multi-view card from the North America -> World Round Robin. I had no idea how beautiful Slovenia is!

Greece

These two cards come as a thank you from Nectaria. She had requested some cards for a friend of hers and I helped out. Greece is beautiful!

Postcards: 3/6

Six postcards today, and five from new places!

USA

From Michelle in Texas through the US to US Round Robin. Good thing I'm not a St. Louis Rams fan!

From Sarah in Connecticut, also through the US to US Round Robin. It's an astrological map.

Thailand

A Buddhist temple from a direct swap.

Baby elephants! Courtesy of Ploy, whose name means "gemstones" or "jewels". Very cool.

Portgual

River view in Lisbon from Isabel in the North America -> World Round Robin.

Malaysia

1930s view of a market in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, courtesy of Lufra in the North America -> World Round Robin.
